Helderberg

To protect the older adults that we serve, in light of recent COVID-19 concerns, Albany County has closed the senior centers, community dining sites, and adult day programs located within the county for 30 days. Tentative re-opening is scheduled for April 20 but this date is not certain. We will keep you apprised in this column.

Individuals who are experiencing food insecurities should contact the Life Path administrative offices at 518-465-3322.

Seniors can still receive assistance from Eileen Bosworth from Albany County and Mike Green from the Albany County Veterans. Eileen can assist with programs such as SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), HEAP (Home Energy Assistance Program) and other county programs. Mike Green can assist veterans with obtaining hearing aids or glasses and with general veteran services. Contact Eileen at 518-447-7177; contact Mike by calling 518-447-7710.

Catholic Charities Senior & Caregivers Support Services provides assistance to family caregivers during their journey of caring for older adult loved ones living at home.
