Oldest grad: Florence Remley Zimmer, a 1931 graduate of Altamont High School, is 102 years old. She lived in Berne for 90 years or so before moving to Atria Guilderland. She loves to play cards and do handiwork, like the hot pad she hooked, displayed here. She enjoyed quilting with others to raise money for the Hilltowns Seniors and the Knox Reformed Church. Now she knits hats for preemie babies at Albany Medical Center and does other handiwork. Her two daughters — Sandra Fuller of Westmere and Priscilla Carman, who lives on Carman Road in Guilderland — and others provide her with the material for her projects.
