The Guilderland Senior Services is offering the following activities the week of Nov. 24. Call the senior office at 356-1980, ext. 1048 with any questions or for information.
Monday: Scheduled shopping, aerobics at 9 a.m., Strong Bones Plus at 10:30 a.m, senior fitness at 10:30 a.m., harmonic group at 1 p.m., and Strong Bones Plus at 1:30 p.m.;
Tuesday: Strong Bones Plus at 9 a.m., luncheon of veal and peppers or cold plate at 11:30 a.m., Bingo and Rummikub at 12:30 p.m.;
Wednesday: Scheduled shopping, no Cardio Circuit at 9 a.m., senior fitness at 10:30 a.m., Strong Bones Plus at 10:30 a.m., needlecraft at 1 p.m., and Strong Bones Plus at 1:30 p.m.;
Thursday: Town hall closed for Thanksgiving Day;
Friday: Town hall closed.
Senior holiday luncheon
On Tuesday, Dec. 9. at noon our holiday luncheon will be held at the Cider House Restaurant at 6700 Dunnsville Rd. in Altamont.
The Menu will feature the entrée choice of: Stuffed meatloaf with mashed potatoes or roasted turkey with butternut squash. The cost is $20 per person.
Transportation service is available for Guilderland seniors.

Movie of the month
On Thursday, Nov. 20, at the Guilderland town hall court room the movie 42 will be shown.
This movie focuses on the relationship between baseball icon Jackie Robinson and Brooklyn Dodgers general manager Branch Rickey.
Heap program
With cold months approaching, heating costs will increase. People with monthly incomes under $2194 for one person, or $2869 for two people, are eligible for the Heating Assistance Program called HEAP. This grant can be received each heating season and goes directly to the heating company. The amount of the payment to each person is determined by income, living expenses and type of fuel used. Applications to the program should be available Nov. 17 in the senior office, and if you need assistance, please call to set up an appointment.
