A light winter and a rainy spring were the themes of the last two thirds of the high-school sport season. But there were plenty of success in those seasons.





Another school year has come and gone and the achievements of the local athletes have been stored away in their memory banks.

GUILDERLAND — They took different paths to reach the thing they both love the most.

And now it has taken them to high levels of success.



GUILDERLAND — He ran the fastest 800 meters on Saturday at the New York State Track-and-Field Meet at St. Lawrence University in Canton.

For the past two years and more, those names have been two of the biggest in Voorheesville sports — baseball, football, and basketball.

BERNE — The Berne-Knox-Westerlo track team did not have anyone qualify for states but that did not stop Coach Bill Tindale from being pleased with the season and looking forward to the future.
