Marshall was excited for Sally’s upcoming Word of the Month Club’s celebration at their house on Dec. 30.

“You’re a keen one, Mr. Grinch.”

“This fog’s as soupy as peanut butter.”

Friends of The Berne Library are trumpeting their invite to any and all photography enthusiasts to be part of the Friends 8th Annual Juried Photography Contest.

Sally and Marshall were getting everything ready in anticipation of their guests.

Marshall came bustling in through the back door shouting, “Yoo hoo! Sally! I’ve got a surprise for you. And some library news.” 

On Nov. 6 at 5 p.m., the Berne Sunday Book Club will discuss “Orphan Train,” a 2013 epic tale by Christina Baker Kline.

You have just a few days left to revel in the stunning artwork of pencil artist Tammy Liu-Haller.

Library programs available to the community are offered for free.

“That’s a bit odd,” Marshall commented.

“What’s that Marshall?” Sally asked looking up from her book.
