Five run for three school board seats



GUILDERLAND — Five candidates are vying for three Guilderland School Board seats in the May 16 election.




GUILDERLAND — The school district here wants to understand the "why" and "how" behind the budget vote this year.





Laurel Tormey Cole is a woman with a mission. She has filled her Knox yard with native plants. She likes them because they are beautiful to look at and simple to care for.





GUILDERLAND — For the first time in years, there’s a race for the library’s board of trustees.

Four candidates — three of them incumbents — are vying for three seats.





GUILDERLAND — The trustees for the Guilderland Public Library, by unanimous vote, have proposed a $2.66 million budget for next year, up about $238,000 or 9.85 percent from this year.



GUILDERLAND — Five candidates are vying for three seats on the Guilderland School Board. Only one incumbent, Richard Weisz, is in the race.
