Guilderland Police say that Patricia Dudley, 61, of Guilderland was trying to hurt her husband when she drove, with him in the car with her, into a telephone pole on Carman Road. After she hit the pole, she kept going, turning onto several residential streets, where she ran over a stop sign and onto a front lawn, nearly hitting a house, say police.

Guilderland Police arrested Liu Apring and Guiping Zhang on Friday for performing massage without a license at the Chinese Wellness Center, a felony, at 1871 Western Ave. in Guilderland. Three women were arrested in a similar Guilderland case at a different massage parlor on Western Avenue just under a year ago.

GUILDERLAND — “Because there are no good Mexican restaurants around here,” said Juan Carlos De La Paz when asked why he decided to open a second Casa Real in Guilderland’s Carman Plaza. De La Paz also owns a restaurant by the same name, which is pronounced casa ray-AHL, in the Hannaford Plaza in Rotterdam.

GUILDERLAND — Tawasentha Park now has Wi-Fi. And soon, videos of all town meetings — town board, planning board, and zoning board of appeals — will be available on the town website.

The Governors Motor Inn is listed for sale at $475,000, a price that Realtor Tony Trimarchi of CM Fox said takes into consideration the need to pay more than $200,000 to the county in back taxes.

The Guilderland Town Board voted unanimously this week to ban smoking and the use of tobacco products and e-cigarettes in the town’s parks.
