On Monday, April 22, the Voorheesville softball team traveled to Knickerbacker Park to take on Lansingburgh. After five innings, the Birds’ bats woke up, scoring eight runs to win 16-to-4.

On Saturday, April 20, the Guilderland baseball team had a non-league game against the Colonial Council’s LaSalle. The Cadets pitcher kept the Dutch at bay through five innings. The Dutch fell 8-to-1.

On Friday, April 19, the Voorheesville girls’ lacrosse team hosted the Cohoes Tigers in a Colonial Council matchup. The Birds dominated from the start in their 17-to-2 win.

On Saturday, April 13, the Voorheesville Blackbirds’ track team had to battle two foes: the weather and other track teams in the Green Dragon Relays at Cornwall High School.

On Friday, April 12, the Voorheesville boys’ lacrosse team dodged the rain as they played a Colonial Council game against the Knights at Lansingburgh High School. The quick start by the Blackbirds allowed them to soar to the 16-to-1 win.

On Thursday, April 11, the Guilderland softball team traveled to Niskayuna High School to take on the Silver Warriors. Guilderland’s bats woke up in the second inning that helped lead the Dutch to a 13-to-1 win.

On Monday, April 8, the Voorheesville baseball team traveled to Joe Bruno Stadium to play the LaSalle Cadets in a game that was moved due to the eclipse. The Cadets’ starting pitching silenced the Blackbirds bats by holding them to just two hits in the Birds’ 7-to-0 loss.

On Saturday, April 6, the Guilderland outdoor track team hosted the second annual frigid cup at home as roughly 600 student athletes kicked off the 2024 outdoor season. The girls won with 274 points and the boys with 165.50.

On Friday, April 5, the Guilderland boys’ tennis team kicked off its season against the Blue Bison of Shaker at Shaker High School on a cold and windy afternoon. The Dutch fell, 5 to 4.

On Tuesday morning, April 2, the Guilderland girls’ lacrosse team opened up its 2024 season at home as the team took on Albany High School at Guilderland High School. The Dutch didn’t have any trouble all game as they sailed to a 17-2 win.

On Saturday, March 30, the Guilderland boys’ lacrosse team traveled to Cicero-North Syracuse for its season opener against the Northstars. The Dutch’s late rally fell short in their 11-5 loss.
