Photos: Dutch Sweep Titles In Frigid Cup
On Saturday, April 6, the Guilderland outdoor track team hosted the second annual frigid cup at home as roughly 600 student athletes kicked off the 2024 outdoor season. The girls won with 274 points and the boys with 165.50.

All together now: Guilderland’s Langston Threatte, right, Ashon Oliver, Chase Whitney, and TJ Casavant all compete in the second heat of the 110-meter hurdles. Threatte finished 2nd with a time of 16.73 seconds, Oliver in 6th with a time of 18.50 seconds, Casavant in 5th with a time of 18.45 seconds, and Whitney in 4th with a time of 18.02 seconds.

Pushing off the block: Guilderland’s Tatum Cramer (5), Maryn Vrooman (7), Evynn Burnett (8) surround Columbia’s Mikyra Austin as they break well from the blocks in the 100-meter dash. Cramer won with a time of 12.94 seconds, Vrooman fifth with a time of 13.22 seconds, and Burnett 7th with a time of 13.27 seconds.

And they’re off: Guilderland’s Ethan Solomon (5), Trevor Whitney (2), and Jack Larson (8) all break from their blocks as they all compete in the 100-meter dash. Solomon finished 6th with a time of 11.59 seconds, Whitney in 2nd with a time of 11.34 seconds, and Larson in 3rd with a time of 11.36 seconds.

Dutchman train: Guilderland’s Avery Kerr, Braelyn Cornell, Alexa Kosier, Kara Whiteside, Danika Kosier, and Isabella Lagios all follow one another down the front stretch in the 800-meter run. Kerr won with a time of 2:23.67; Cornell was second at 2:25.92; Alexa Kosier was third at 2:26.46; Whiteside was fourth at 2:31.57; Danika Kosier was fifth at 2:35.28; and Lagios was sixth with a time of 2:38.53.
