Altamont Boy Scout Notes 

Monday evening saw the local boys come to life again, after a long summer vacation. Business meeting was preceded by a little supervised boxing.

Fall Term on Tuesday 

The Altamont high school opened its new school year Tuesday, under the direction of Principal, Lester F. Bacon. 

The present enrollment in the academic department is 73, an increase of 8 over last year.

Some time ago our Fire company extinguished a fire in some lumber belonging to the railroad company. Recently Raymond Hurst reported the matter to the company, and they responded with a check for $100.
