Prudence ‘Prudy’ Clemishire Ciaccio

ALTAMONT — An accomplished teacher and community contributor, Prudence “Prudy” Clemishire Ciaccio’s greatest love was for her family.

She died peacefully on Sunday, July 23, 2023. She was 98 years old.

KNOX — William “Bill” Matthews Jr., a Vietnam veteran and retired postal worker, helped his sons build their dreams.

He died at home on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, with his loving family at his side. He was 75 years old.

Born on Jan. 24, 1928, Mrs. Teal died on Sunday, July 16, 2023. She was 95.

BERNE — Terry (née VanDyke) Schinnerer, along with her husband, was a beloved school bus driver for Berne-Knox-Westerlo for more than 30 years.

ALTAMONT — Jean Southwood, a nursing supervisor, died on Saturday, July 8, 2023. She was 70.
She was born in Auburn, New York, the daughter of the late Roger and Madeline Karker.

VOORHEESVILLE — Hazel “Susie” (née Dittmer) Flansburg — a giving person; a talented artist; and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother — died peacefully on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. She was 88.

She was born July 15, 1934, the daughter of the late Valentine and Hazel (née Burroughs) Dittmer.

GUILDERLAND — Anne Marie Wilson, a generous woman and supportive mother, died on Sunday, July 2, 2023, with her loving family by her side. She was 61.

She was born on May 1, 1962, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Margery (née Soraghan) DuBois and the beloved wife of 25 years to David Wilson.

ALTAMONT — Wayne Dominick Donato of Altamont, a family man who was passionate about farm machinery, died with his loving family by his side on Sunday, July 2, 2023, following a long illness. He was 57.

Born Sept. 16, 1965, he was the son of the late Louis Sr. and Mary (née Eck) Donato and the beloved husband of Amy Donato.
