VILLAGE NOTES

VILLAGE NOTES

— Melvin W. Becker, who is somewhat of a gardener, having learned the occupation while living in Berne, and noted there for having all kinds of early vegetables growing, much to the envy of his neighbors, is keeping up his reputation by having a mess of early peas on June 12th.

COUNTRY HIT BY HEAVY
STORM FIRST OF WEEK

The rainstorm of Sunday and heavy wind following on Monday, of this week, did considerable damage to buildings and orchards in several places in this county as well as throughout the state and on the seacoast.

WESTERLO

Mrs. John Fergerson of White Plains, N.Y., occupied the pulpit of the Reformed church Sunday morning June 4th with a very interesting and pleasing address. Surely those who listened to Mrs. Fergerson could not help but wish to hear her again.
