NEW SCOTLAND — Albany County will support two meal sites for New Scotland seniors.
“We were awarded two congregate meal sites in the Town beginning June 1,” Deb Engel, the town’s senior coordinator, told The Enterprise.

The Esperance Historical Society is dedicating a Memorial Tree at the Village Commons in honor and memory of those who started the historical society and museum over 50 years ago.

The May 30 ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. at 123 Church St.  Refreshments will follow the dedication.

Loving the feel: Petting baby animals Saturday at Indian Ladder Farms for the Capital District YMCA Circle of Champs Day. The program supports over 50 families who have been touched by life-threatening illness.

Megan Bassler, a 2010 graduate of Berne-Knox-Westerlo, spent two years as a social worker after getting a master’s degree in that field, then went on to law school and passed the state bar exam last year.

GUILDERLAND — Community Caregivers is holding its 18th annual golf tournament on Monday, June 6, at Pinehaven Country Club in Guilderland.

Beginning at 11 a.m., the tournament will include a day of golf plus prizes, including Accurate Drive and Closest to the Pin.

The Hudson Estuary Trees for Tribs program will kick off the spring planting season with a “Potting Up” event in celebration of Arbor Day on Friday, April 29.
