Roswell Eldridge

RENSSELAERVILLE — Roswell Eldridge, M.D., was a Renaissance man who left deep impressions both in and beyond the Hilltowns. His knowledge drew from the fields of art, medicine, nature, automobiles, and more. Dr. Eldridge died peacefully at his home on Thursday, June 3, 2021, five days before his 53rd wedding anniversary.

Melanie Webb Brach

WESTERLO — “Melanie Webb Brach left this life on Monday, July 26, 2021, to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,” her family wrote in a tribute.

SCHOHARIE COUNTY — Todd N. Rolfe, of Murphy Road in the town of Wright, died Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Albany Medical Center after a long decline in health. He was 65.

He was born on June 7, 1956 in Cooperstown, New York, a son of Fritz and Irene (née Settle) Rolfe.

NEW SCOTLAND — Patricia Anne Riley Coons was the ultimate mother — she fostered over 100 children and adopted 13.

Frank Anthony Corradi

ALTAMONT — Frank Anthony Corradi of Altamont “went peacefully to be with our Lord on Monday, July 12, 2021,” his family said. He was 90.

He was born on Dec. 29, 1930, and was raised in Rotterdam, New York.

Evan Frank Campana

GUILDERLAND — Evan Frank Campana of Guilderland, a devoted father, died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 11, 2021. He was 27.

John Roger Jeanneney

BERNE — John Jeanneney — who loved history and dogs — died, after several years of declining health, on Monday, July 5, 2021, at his home in Berne, with his family by his bedside. He was 86.

Roberta Croff

SARATOGA SPRINGS — Roberta Croff — “a pillar of strength,” her family said — died peacefully on Friday, July 2, 2021, with the loving and loyal support of her family. She was 98. She and her husband raised their four children in Altamont.

William Donato

ALTAMONT — William “Bill” Donato, who loved God, his family, and old engines, died on Friday, July 9, 2021, after a brief illness.

Jonathan Edward Bintz

Jonathan Edward Bintz of Albany, a vibrant musician and teacher, died on the morning of Friday, July 2, 2021 at Albany Medical Center. He was 28.

Charles “Chuck” Peter Schiltz, a devoted dad, died on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at the age of 59. Born April 28, 1961, he was the son of Sylvester Schiltz and Betty (née Lee) Spadaro.

WESTERLO — Diane Wilms Figel, a devout woman who ran a dairy farm with her husband, died on Sept. 6, 2020 at the age of 78.

WESTERLO — Rev. Robert Martin Duchow, a retired Lutheran pastor, local historian, and fifth-generation resident of the family home in Westerlo, died on Friday, June 11, 2021, in Farmington, Conn., where he had lived with his son and daughter-in-law for the last four years. He was 84.

AVERILL PARK — Michael D. Baker Sr .— a loving husband, father, and grandfather — died on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 in Albany. He was 70.

He was born on June 25, 1951 in Albany to the late Wilmer Baker and Yvonne Baker.

ALTAMONT — Stephen P. Durant of Altamont, an ironworker with a passion for the outdoors, died on Friday, June 11, 2021. He was 75.
A graduate of Mohonasen High School and Utica College, Mr. Durant went to work for and retired from the Iron Workers Local Union 12 in Albany.
