BETHLEHEM — The chamber of commerce here is celebrating Bethlehem Restaurant Appreciation Week from Jan. 25 to 31.

BETHLEHEM — The Bethlehem Grange has extended its Christmas food drive due to continuing need.

“If  you or your group would like to donate any items, it would be greatly appreciated,” wrote Carol Carpenter, Grange president, in an email.

An annual calendar is the result of an art contest launched in 2004 by the Foundation for Quality Care Inc., the New York State Health Facilities Association, and the New York State Center for Assisted Living.

ALBANY COUNTY — Construction is complete on a new shared-use path for walkers and cyclists connecting the village of Menands to the Mohawk-Hudson Hike-Bike Trail along the Hudson River, which is also part of the newly completed Empire State Trail.

A series of free programs on brain health will be available to the public this month.

 ALBANY COUNTY — Ann Lee Pond in Colonie, and Thompson’s Lake in the Helderbergs are both popular for ice fishing and have public access to fishing.
