On Tuesday evening the Guilderland Dutchmen boys' soccer team not only battled Colonie but the rain as well. The Dutch fell 2-to-1.

Guilderland-Voorheesville girls swim team under the helm of Jenna Hyary have started the shorten season 4-0 with all their meets virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Guilderville won both meets, 118-47 against Troy-Averill Park, and 102-81 against Schenectady-Colonie.

Guilderland girls soccer team played against Averill Park on Tuesday evening at home on wet and rainy night. Dutch fell 3 to 1.

On Saturday morning, the BKW-Middleburgh cross-country team faced off against Fonda-Fultonville and Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville. BKW-Middleburgh girls swept the meet by beating Fonda-Fultonville, 27 to 28, and beating Oppenheim-Ephratah-St.

This past week, the Guilderland and Voorheesville Girls tennis squads returned to their home courts to face local foes. Voorheesville lost to Academy of the Holy Names on Friday evening 6 to 1 while Guilderland lost to Niskayuna 5 to 4.

On Sunday afternoon, the Guilderland boys' and girls' cross-country teams opened against Saratoga at Saratoga State Park where the Dutch wore their masks.

The Guilderland field hockey team, the defending section 2 sectional champions, opened their shorten season against Saratoga at Saratoga High School on Saturday afternoon. 

School sports competitions returned at last this week — with golf.
