VOORHEESVILLE — John M. Bagyi has been named, for the 10th year in a row, to the 2018 Upstate New York Super Lawyers list in the field of Employment and Labor.

A 1989 graduate of Guilderland High School, Bagyi lives in Voorheesville with his wife, Dania, and their daughters, Kennedy and McKenna.

On Wednesday, two little children, Caidyn and McKenna, wanted to help the community more by adding a Little Free Library at the corner of Adams Place and Hudson Avenue in Delmar by the entrance to the rail trail so kids and adults can enjoy a book near the rail trail.

The annual Scottish Games arrived to the Altamont Fairgrounds this past weekend.

On Wednesday morning, high school and elementary students hopped off the big yellow buses to start a new school year at Berne-Knox-Westerlo. New to the school this year is a resource officer that will be on hand at both schools.

Last Friday, the Chuck Wagon Diner held a customer appreciation at the diner in Princetown but it also held a benefit and fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis and the horse foundation.

On Aug. 8, CM Fox Real Estate donated $2,500 to the Backpacks For Success program where each student got a $100 gift card along with a 15-percent-off coupon from Kohl’s to shop after the kids had a pizza party at the Guilderland YMCA.
