Beverly Jean Lufkin Halsdorf

Beverly Jean Lufkin Halsdorf — a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother — died on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina. She was 80.

Richard John Mosley

ALBANY —  Richard John Mosley — “a techno wiz,” his family wrote, who “lived his life with zest and great enthusiasm” — died on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018. He was 42.

Born on Sept. 11, 1975 in Albany, he was the son of Robert John and the late Donna Lynn Mosley Simpson.

GUILDERLAND — Rory Healy was an actor, musician, foodie, and free spirit who forged his own creative paths and loved meeting fans at Comic-cons and other popular-culture conventions, his sister and his booking agent agreed.

Lyndon ‘Mike’ Leonard

EAST BERNE — Lyndon “Mike” Leonard, a longtime Berne-Knox-Westerlo teacher and well-known archer, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018. He was 70.

He was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on Jan. 26, 1948. He graduated from Monadnock High School in Swanzey, New Hampshire in 1966.

Charles G. Yerbury

GUILDERLAND — Charles G. Yerbury is remembered as a man who would do anything for his family and who epitomized hard work.

Mr. Yerbury “was called home by Our Precious Lord” on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018, his family wrote in a tribute. He was 86.

Lyndon ‘Mike’ Leonard

EAST BERNE — Lyndon “Mike” Leonard, a longtime Berne-Knox-Westerlo teacher and well-known archer, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018. He was 70.

He was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on Jan. 26, 1948. He graduated from Monadnock High School in Swanzey, New Hampshire in 1966.

Spencer Sisson

EAST BERNE — Spencer Sisson of East Berne, an outgoing man who owned an insurance company, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018. He was 43.

“Spencer loved spending time with his daughters and cherished every moment with them,” his family wrote in a tribute.

Robert Nakamura

WESTERLO — Robert Nakamura, whose life was rich in adventure, knowledge, and family, died on Thursday, July 26, 2018. He was 73.

“He really did a lot of extraordinary things,” said his son, Jeffrey Nakamura.

KNOX — Roland George Olson was a quiet man who liked fixing things. A Navy veteran who served during both the Lebanon crisis and the Cuban missile crisis, Mr. Olson went on to have a career repairing heavy machinery.

David Keim Teuten

VOORHEESVILLE —  David Keim Teuten — a family man and community leader — died on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018.

“David was a protector of the bullied, cheerleader of us all, and wise sage to those who listened,” his family wrote in a tribute. “He could be stubborn and cantankerous and we will cherish our memories of him.

WESTERLO — Helen Gladys Sisson, a mother and nurse who was devoted to caring for others, died peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018. She was 100 years old.

GUILDERLAND — Betty H. Moolick of Guilderland, a teacher who was passionate about her home and family, died on Thursday, July 26, 2018. She was 84.

She was born March 11, 1934 in Amsterdam to the late Isaac and Genevieve Hughes.
