Betty H. Moolick

GUILDERLAND — Betty H. Moolick of Guilderland, a teacher who was passionate about her home and family, died on Thursday, July 26, 2018. She was 84.

She was born March 11, 1934 in Amsterdam to the late Isaac and Genevieve Hughes.

After graduating from high school, Mrs. Moolick went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York College at Oneonta and a master’s degree from the University at Albany. She served for 28 years as a teacher in the Schenectady City School District.

“Betty’s passions in life were her family and her home and, before her illness, she was an active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Schenectady, serving on the Altar Guild for many years,” her family wrote in a tribute. “She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, and collecting antiques.”

and his wife, MoolickShe is survived by her grateful and loving children: Michael Lorelie, of Altamont; Lisa Harvey and her husband, Jeff, of Berne; Matthew Moolick and his wife, Paula, of Rotterdam; and Lora Morrow and her husband, Bob, of Guilderland.

In addition, she was the proud grandmother of Michael, Kelly, and Ben Moolick; Samantha and Elizabeth Harvey; and Riley and David Morrow. She had a new great-grandson, Aidan Moolick.

Her best friend and loving husband of 46 years, Robert Moolick, died before her.

Services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 1, at the Fredendall Funeral Home in Altamont with interment in Guilderland’s Prospect Hill Cemetery. Mourners may leave condolences online at www.fredendallfuneralhome.com.
