St. Lucy/St. Bernadette Church sponsors trip to Portugal

ALTAMONT — St. Lucy/St. Bernadette Church in Altamont is sponsoring a trip departing from Albany to Portugal next spring.

Travelers will leave Albany on April 23 on a bus to JFK Airport in New York City and return on May 4, 2019 and will be escorted by local travel expert Jean Gagnon. Space is limited to 40 participants.  

Barrow will play sax at final Guilderland Town Band concert

GUILDERLAND — Brendan Barrow will perform Sammy Nestico’s “Persuasion” as a saxophone soloist at the Guilderland Town Band’s final concert. He chose to play Persuasion because it reflects Nestico’s  jazzy style, but shows off the more classical tone of playing the saxophone, which he prefers.

Registration open for 3rd Annual Rensselaerville Ride

RENSSELAERVILLE — Registration is open for the Third Annual Rensselaerville Ride: a non-competitive cycling event taking riders through the hills and hollows of the Helderbergs. The ride, hosted by Helderberg Brewery, will take place on Sunday, Aug.
