Bernard H. Wagner

DUNNSVILLE — Bernard H. Wagner, who had worked as a dairy farmer and highway foreman, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 19, at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center in Guilderland, surrounded by his loving family. He was 82.

VOORHEESVILLE — Jeanne Adele Weissenberger Perras, a long-time resident of Voorheesville and the mother of six, died on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was 93.

MIDDLEBURGH — Richard S. Hempstead, who worked for General Electric, died unexpectedly on Monday, June 25, 2018. He was 35.

He was born on March 21, 1983 in Albany, the son of Gerald “Dick” and Linda Hempstead.

He attended Middleburgh High School. He was employed with GE Turbine of Florida.

Loretta H. Crewell

KNOX — Loretta H. Crewell was a warm and kind person who cared about her family and her church above everything. She died on Friday, June 22, 2018, after a brief illness. She was 88.

ALTAMONT — Edward V. Hanrahan was a master carpenter and a man of few words who taught his seven children by showing, rather than telling, them how to build.

He died on Thursday, June 14, 2018. He was 91.

EAST BERNE — John F. “Jack” Sellnow, a retired New York State Trooper, and a member of the Berne Masonic Lodge, died on June 13, 2018. He was 75.

Born on June 18, 1942, he was the son of the late Charles Sellnow Sr. and Sadie Strzesiewski. He was lovingly raised by the late Jacob and Louise Sellnow Collen.

GUILDERLAND — Pattie Moore Gray, a Christian woman who helped in her husband’s ministry and who shared her love of nature with her children, died Thursday, June 7, 2018. She was 95.

EAST BERNE — Lisa D. Mann-Hannan “passed into eternal life on Saturday, June 16, 2018, surrounded by her family and friends after a brief and courageous battle with cancer,” her family wrote in a tribute. She was 65.

Geraldine M. Mohr

GUILDERLAND — Geraldine Mohr — who was always ready for her next adventure — died, after a brief illness, on Monday, June 11, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was 88.

SLINGERLANDS — Roseann M. (née Cyr) Potter of Slingerlands, died on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, with her family by her side. She was 66.

She was the loving mother of John Hart (Todd and Paul), Robert Hart, and Diana Hart-Genre (Ron).

Laurence “Larry” Floyd Fronk

KNOX — Laurence “Larry” Floyd Fronk lived a long and varied life that was punctuated by his tenacity and love of hard work, family, and God. He died at his home on Friday, June 8, 2018. He was 90 years old.

“He had a heart for people,” said his wife, Shirley Fronk. “He loved everybody.”

John Moses Hughes III

John Moses Hughes III, a truck driver who loved to hunt and fish, got along with everybody, said his brother, Alan Hughes. His friends and family called him Jack.

He died unexpectedly on Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, in his Florida home. He was 72.

ALTAMONT – Victor H. Lown, “was a man of many things,” his family wrote in a tribute: a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather –“Poppy Vic,” as he was known to his grandchildren. He died on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. He was 86.

GUILDERLAND — Edith L. Keys of Guilderland died peacefully on Saturday, June 9, 2018, her family wrote in a tribute. She was 83.

Born in Altamont, Mrs. Keys was the daughter of the late George and Lavina Grant Knaggs.
