Clayton Edward Anderson

BERNE — Clayton Edward “Bud” Anderson died on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, nineteen days before his 90th birthday. A teacher and a man of unshakeable faith, Mr. Anderson traveled as far as Russia for missionary work.

Victor L. La Plante

MEDUSA — Victor L. La Plante spend the bulk of his life in public service — in the Navy as a young man, as a State Trooper for his career, and as a Rensselaerville town judge in his later years.

He died unexpectedly on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017. He was 80.

VOORHEESVILLE — Jean C. Thomas loved children — six of her own and countless others whom she cared for over the years in her Voorheesville home.

She died on Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, at the Our Lady of Mercy Life Center in Guilderland. She was 86.

Hollis Lauren Stedman

ALTAMONT — Hollis Lauren Stedman, who his family said “was very proud of his service” to his country, died on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017. He was 65.

He died at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn, surrounded by his loving family.

BERNE — Gertrude A. Horl, “a very special soul, passed from this world” on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, her family wrote in a tribute. She was 69.

Mrs. Horl was born on July 4, 1948 in Syracuse, New York.

GUILDERLAND — June S. Bohl, her family said, was a cheerleader her whole life as she encouraged her family in their endeavors.

She died peacefully at her Guilderland home on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, after a long battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. She was 87.

Merlin G. Tolles

PRINCETOWN — Merlin G. Tolles, a National Guardsman and patriot life member of the NRA, lived in Princetown all his life. He died at Ellis Hospital on Sunday Nov. 5, 2017. He was 81.
