Depot Lane Singers start rehearsals for December concerts

SCHOHARIE — The Depot Lane Singers, in its 39th year, begins rehearsals for winter concert programs on Tuesday, Sept. 5, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

VOORHEESVILLE — The First United Methodist Church in Voorheesville invites all to come for a free lunch on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month, from noon to 1 p.m.

There are no take-outs; diners will eat their lunches in the church hall.

Music in the Park raises funds for GOP

BERNE — The Berne Republican Committee is hosting a Music in the Park event on Wednesday, Aug. 23, from 5 to 9 p.m. as a benefit for the party.

The event, at the Berne town park, is billed as “Two Great Bands — One Great Evening: Friends, Neighbors and Fun.” The two bands are The Henchmen and Thick As thieves.
