GUILDERLAND CENTER — Many traditional Halloween treats aren’t safe for children with life-threatening food allergies.

To celebrate a new trail at the Bozen Kill Preserve on Sunday, a hike will focus on the seasonal changes of plants and animals from summer to fall, and fall to winter.

RENSSELAERVILLE — Internationally acclaimed concert pianist Frank Wiens will perform at Conkling Hall in Rensselaerville, Oct.15. His program will include works by Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, and Rachmaninov. Tickets are $15 at the door.  A dessert reception with Wiens will follow the performance.
