To the Editor:

Love is shown in many ways.

Ours is not a big church, according to any statistician, or denominational standards. But in heart we really try to be what our Lord has called his people to be, a help in time of need to the poor in spirit as well as in body.

To the Editor:

I would like to express my appreciation for all the support that I received for the AIDS Walk. I raised over $1,800.

The support I receive every year has been wonderful; with more people becoming involved.

Perhaps one day they will find a cure for this horrific disease.

To the Editor:

Thank you for putting my garage sale ad “to benefit the Berne Library” in the Garage Sale secion and the Community Events calendar.

Also, thank you to Judy Petrosillo for putting a notice in her column on the Berne Library.

To the Editor:

Mr. Crosier, [Berne town supervisor, Kevin Crosier], I have an idea for you on how to save money and it would help you in the long run.

To the Editor:

Now that the kiddies are back in school we at the Hilltowns Community Resource Center are focusing on the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

We are in need of donations for Thanksgiving dinner for our families. Donations of food or monetary donations are always appreciated.

We are just seeing the beginnings of the colors of fall emerging in the village and up on the escarpment.  Summer finally is in the past and fall activities are about to go into full swing.  Here are some highlights for your information.

Archives and Museum news

To the Editor:

They say you can’t go home again.

I beg to differ.  I get to come home a few times a year and just recently had a ladies’ luncheon at the Maple Inn in East Berne.

We try to get together a couple of times a year.

To the Editor:

Face to face still matters. It’s true

I was recently asked: Why should someone join the chamber in this day and age when networking and connecting can be done at high speed via our fingertips, why in the world would someone spend money to join a chamber?

To the Editor:

As some of you may know, and a lot of you do not, the Berne Historical Society has a wonderful museum upstairs in the Berne Town Hall.
