The Guilderland softball team talked about defending its title early on in the season, but Bethlehem wasn't about to allow it.

Baseballs were flying out of Shenendehowa's ballpark last Friday during the Class AA quarterfinals, and the Dutchmen couldn't keep up.

The Voorheesville baseball team seemed destined for a third consecutive championship, but it lost on a bases-loaded walk in the Class B finals. 

The Guilderland girls' lacrosse team tried to defend its title on Wednesday, but the ball bounced the other way.

The girls’ and boys’ track-and-field teams from Guilderland competed in the Section 2 Group 1 championships at the University of Albany on Tuesday.

The Dutchmen tennis team has been almost unstoppable over the last two years, and defended its Class AA championship last week.

Berne-Knox-Westerlo did well at Tuesday's Western Athletic Conference Championships for track-and-field at Fort Plain. 

Albany Academy held Voorheesville scoreless last Friday, and it further added to the Birds' recent struggles.

Sometimes, change can be good.

After some tough losses this season, the Guilderland girls' lacrosse team has finally "found a way to go after it," Head Coach Carrie Britt said.  

A great softball game was played between Berne-Knox-Westerlo and Mayfield last Thursday; it took extra innings to decide the winner.
