To the Editor:

The family of Porter Bidleman deeply appreciates the wonderful outpouring of love and support during his brief illness and passing. Thank you for your caring thoughts, cards, meals, and contributions.

Dad thought most all of his friends were gone; amazingly, he had friends he didn’t even know! Living in this community and surrounding area returned the blessings and love that he felt for everyone over the past 63 years.

Many thanks to The Altamont Enterprise, Tom Sands, and Ted Gup for your kind and eloquent letters, and to the McVeigh Funeral Home for again taking extra special care of our family. We pray 2021 will bring health, peace, and the ability to live on the “top shelf.”
