William Heath

ALBANY — William “Billy” George Heath, who loved fast cars, playing bingo, and spending time with his family, died peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016, at his home. He was 63.

He was born in Niskayuna to the late Bill and Dorothy (née Kaminski) Heath on Oct. 23, 1953.

He graduated from Guilderland High School in 1972. His working career was spent with the Michaels Building Group and most recently at the New Visions, WWAARC.

His many hobbies included going to the Fonda Speedway, watching National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, Saratoga Racino and playing bingo, and especially spending time with his family.

He was a member of the Guilderland Elks Club and a past member of the Guilderland Center Fire Department.

He is survived by his sister, Karen Miller, and her husband, Jim; his brothers John Heath and his wife, Karen, Tom Heath and his wife, Dawn, Terry Heath and his wife, Sharon, Bob Heath and his wife, Julie, and Bruce Heath; his nieces, Danielle and Kiera Heath, and his nephews, Kyle and William Heath; his aunts, Joan Heath, Peggy Drummond, and Janet Heath; and many cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 27, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Fredendall Funeral Home at 199 Main St. in Altamont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 28, at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Church at 20 Sumter Ave. in Guilderland.

    He was born on Nov. 26. 1937, in Albany, son of the late Herman and Ethel (née Manchester) Rapp. He graduated from Berne-Knox-Westerlo in 1956.
