NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the 2017 Organizational Meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Knox Fire District will take place at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, January 10, 2017. The meeting will be held at the Knox Fire Station located at 2198 Rt. 156, Knox, New York.

This meeting will be followed by the regular monthly meeting of the Board of Commissioners.

The public is invited to attend.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Rensselaerville invites sealed bids for one new ¾ ton 4X4 pickup truck. Specifications can be obtained from Highway Superintendent Bates or the Town Clerk during normal business hours at 87 Barger Road, Medusa, NY 12120. Phone (518) 239-4225 or (518) 797-3798.

All bids are to be in sealed envelopes and clearly marked with the bidder name and address and noted “Bid for New Pick-up Truck”. Bids are to be in the Town Clerk’s office by January 10, 2017 at 6:45 pm. Bids will be publicly opened and reviewed by the Town Board on January 10, 2017 at 7:15 pm. Bids will be awarded within a reasonable time thereafter.

The Town Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids. A Non-Collusive Bidding Certificate must accompany all bids.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Planning Board of the Town of Rensselaerville will hold a Public Hearing on January 5, 2017 at 7:30 PM at Town Hall, 87 Barger Road, Medusa, NY on an Area Minor Sub-Division for Mabel Welsch & Richard Zink, Lot #126.-1- 19. The applicant has 98.6 acres and is looking to sub-divide into 2 equal parts. 

All those interested in this proposal will be provided with the full opportunity to be heard on the date of the Hearing. Persons wishing to appear at such hearing may do so in person or by attorney or other representative. Documents in support of this proposed sub-division are available for inspection at Town Hall.

Communications in writing in relation thereto may be filed with the Planning Board or at such hearing.

BOND RESOLUTION ESTOPPEL NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a resolution, a summary of which is published herewith, has been adopted for the Town Board of the Town of Knox, Albany County, on the 13th day of December, 2016. Such resolution was adopted subject to permissive referendum and the period of time has elapsed for the submission and filing of a petition for such referendum without a valid petition having been submitted and filed, and the validity of the obligations authorized by such resolution may be hereafter contested only if:

(1) (a) such obligations were authorized for an object or purpose for which the Town of Knox is not authorized to expend money, or

(b) if the provisions of law which should have been complied with as of the date of publication of this notice were not substantially complied with, and an action, suit or proceeding contesting such validity is commenced within twenty days after the date of publication of this notice; or

(2) such obligations were authorized in violation of the provisions of the Constitution of New York.

SUMMARY OF RESOLUTION

The following is a summary of a resolution adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Knox on December 13, 2016. Said resolution authorizes the issuance and sale of a serial bond or bonds and a bond anticipation note or notes in anticipation of the issuance and sale of said serial bonds, in an amount not to exceed $700,000. The proceeds from the sale of the obligations authorized in said resolution shall be used for the specific purpose of financing the construction of an addition to the Town Hall. The period of probable usefulness for said purposes is twenty-five (25) years. A copy of the resolution summarized herein is available for public inspection during normal business.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a regular meeting held on the 13th day of December, 2016, the Town Board of the Town of Knox duly adopted a resolution, an abstract of which follows, which resolution is subject to a permissive referendum pursuant to Section 35.00 of the Local Finance Law of the State of New York.
