Scouts collect 3,696 pounds of food for pantry

To the Editor:

The New Scotland Community Food Pantry is grateful to the Boy Scouts and the Cub Scouts of Pack 73 for their collection of 3,696 pounds of food and personal items on Nov. 15.  The Voorheesville community response was overwhelming!

Pantry volunteers weighed, sorted, and shelved the donations. The NSCFP, composed solely of volunteers, serves many neighbors in their time of need.

In addition to Pack 73’s support, volunteers shop for food, organize and shelve the products delivered to the pantry, and assist families with their pantry selections.

The NSCFP is a very important and essential community service, most especially at this crucial time.

The New Scotland Community Food Pantry is extremely grateful for the support of Pack 73 and the community for their support of our work!
