This bond is for $32,165,551 — up go your taxes!

Here are just a few of the things the bond will pay for (they are going to do 111 projects):

— $7.8 million for renovation of the high school auditorium; you could build few nice houses for that kind of money;

— Replace home and visitors’ bleachers with ADA-compliant bleachers to increase home seating from 1,000 to 1,500 and visitors’ seating from 500 to 1,000 at a cost of $1,399,406; wow!

— At the grade schools, they want to replace stage curtains with flame-retardant curtains at a cost of $55,344! Middle-school curtains on the stage will cost $71,156!

— Here is one that got me: Domestic hot-water loop for room 1, 2, 3 cafeteria and kitchen at a cost of $53,344 — the same price as the curtains?

I know it’s too late now but, please, people from New Scotland, get out and vote when they have these bond proposals!
