FIRE DESTROYS SCHOOL
AT ESPERANCE DEPOT

THe Esperance Depot school, one and one-half miles south of Esperance village, was destroyed by fire about 2 o’clock Tuesday  morning. The school house, a one-room building, was in district 25, Town of Duanesburgh, Schenectady County. The winter’s fuel was destroyed with it. The cause of the fire is not known. It is supposed that it started from an overheated stove. Before the neighborhood was aroused the flames were beyond control. Miss Georgiana Brown of Esperance is the teacher. No plans of certainty for the future accommodation of the pupils have been made.
