Humbled by residents’ passion

To the Editor:

Voters: You should be proud. New Scotlanders turned out in record numbers for last month’s off-year election.

We are humbled not just by the support we received, but by the interest and passion so many residents expressed.

Thank you to all who came out to vote this year — not just those who voted for us — and thanks to our opponent, Craig Shufelt, for running a positive campaign on the issues.

We promise always to listen to the residents of New Scotland as we move forward with the platform we ran on: fiscal responsibility, smart planning, and open government.

Adam Greenberg

Dan Leinung

New Scotland

Editor’s note: Incumbent Adam Greenberg and political newcomer Dan Leinung, both Democrats, won seats last month on the New Scotland Town Board, besting Republican Craig Shufelt.
