Join the Helderberg Family and Community Organization on Saturday, Dec. 7, for Breakfast with Santa and the annual Hope and Peace Community Festival of Trees Tree-Lighting Ceremony.

Breakfast with Santa will be held at the Berne Fire Department from 8 to 11 a.m. Please call Sandra Quay at 518-605-1351 or Joan Adriance at 518-461-1320 to reserve your time slot — reservations are strongly recommended.

Enjoy breakfast along with pictures and a treat from Santa! Basket raffles will also be available. Children under 2 are admitted for free, children aged 2 to 10 are $5, over age 11 cost $10, and senior citizens cost $6.

The Tree-Lighting Ceremony for the Hope and Peace Community Festival of Trees will start at 5:30 p.m. with a community sing-along in the park behind the Knox firehouse. Forty beautifully decorated trees in honor of a cause or in memory of a loved one will be lit following a brief ceremony.

This evening of holiday cheer will feature guest vocalists from the Berne-Knox-Westerlo elementary and secondary school choirs. Light refreshments will be available.
