Altamont’s WinterFest is going to be oodles of fun!
To the Editor:
Altamont Community Tradition’s annual WinterFest is set to make your day on Sunday, Dec. 8, from noon to 5 p.m. Last year’s Winterfest was a wet, rainy day, which led to postponing the Pet Pawrade.
But this year, we all know it’s going to be a gorgeous day, a day that starts off with pets and their people lining up (rain or shine). There will be a bagpiper and baton twirlers to add to the festivities. The Altamont Enterprise will be there to take pictures, so be sure to dress up.
Happily, Santa said he’d be back with us at the Masonic Temple to see the kids.
Events will be happening at various locations throughout the village, including Orsini Park, the Masonic Hall, St. John’s Lutheran Church, Altamont Reformed Church, and the Altamont Free Library.
All of it will be capped off with holiday organ music and sing-along from 4 to 5 p.m. at St. John’s. Many of our local businesses, including Farmhouse Tap & Tavern, Remedies Wine & Spirits, and Main Street Café, will be participating in the festivities with special hours and treats.
You can find details on the Altamont Community Tradition Facebook page. There will also be flyers and sandwich boards set up around the village.
It’s going to be oodles of fun! Be sure to join us.
