We did it, people! Ain’t we something!

To the Editor:

Thank you for putting my letter in The Enterprise [“BKW classmate in hurricane’s path needs our help,” Oct. 26, 2018]. There was a huge response and we all are very grateful …

Below is from Dennis and Pamela Delaney. They received about 30 care packages! Some anonymous, so he cannot send you a thank-you note. Whatever else is needed in those packages they are sharing with many families still in need. I know of a couple more boxes that are still coming in.

“Hi Carrie — just wanted to give you an update and a thank-you. We have received a bunch of care packages, and they are much appreciated! We are able to use much of what was sent, and are sharing the rest with folks in town.

“It has made our lives a bit easier in a very stressful time. Also, would you please send out a broad thank you to your contacts; several people sent packages anonymously and others through vendors, which leave us without return addresses or any way for us to tell them thank you.

“I want everyone to know that sent us a package and has us in their thoughts and prayers how much it is appreciated and how helpful it has been for us. And of course, thank you for organizing it all. Hope to see you on a JAX overnight sometime before our 50th reunion! Cheers! Dennis.”

We did it, people! Ain’t we something!

Thank you all so much!
