Help save the Berne Conservation Club

To the Editor:

I am writing you today requesting your help with preserving a historic part of our outdoor heritage.

The Berne Conservation Club in Berne, which had been in operation since the 1930s, currently does not have enough funds to cover operating costs and without your help will have to close.

We are seeking donations of products so we can conduct a raffle between Thanksgiving and Christmas 2019. Monetary check donations may be made out to “Berne Conservation Club.”

The club has a trap range, and some activities the club has been a part of include stocking local lakes with fish; hosting turkey shoots; sponsoring fundraisers such as dinners and raffles; and teaching gun safety, bow safety, and teaching women and junior shooting (ages 10 to 17 years old); and snowmobile safety courses.

Please help us preserve this historic club by contacting Lee Godin at 518-542-2709 or via email at go_lee3@yahoo.com.

Any donations may be sent to: Berne Conversation Club Fundraiser, care of Lee Godin, 26 West Mountain Lane, Berne NY 12023.
