Anita Marrone lived and loved life with passion

To the Editor:

Anita Marrone was my friend. I loved her. I think about those she loved and how she spoke about them, about how dedicated she was to her family and how proud she was of them.

I think about how God’s creation was precious to her, how she saw and felt the beauty and power of it, how kind she was to animals, how she rescued fish and frogs when they needed it, and how she had a special affinity for birds. All these beings seemed drawn to her home and beautiful garden.

No amount of fencing kept them out. It’s as if they knew the kind of person she was and wanted to be near her.

She made me laugh and cry with her stories, was a great cook, and remembered everything. She worked hard, was smart, creative, plain-spoken, and stood up for the people and values she believed in. She lived and loved life with passion.

Anita Marrone was my friend. I loved her. I miss her.
