GUILDERLAND —Six  Guilderland High School students were selected to perform in the Area All-State Music Festival, which will be held on Nov. 18 and 19.

Competitive selection from a nine-county area is based upon the score received by the students during the previous spring at the New York State School Music Association solo evaluation festival.

Playing in the concert band, under the direction of Andrew Perry of West Genesee High School, will be Jason Sindoni on tuba and Isabella Wu on clarinet. Singing in the chorus, under the direction of Anthony Miglione of William Jewell College, will be Ryan Dempsey, Anna Fernandez, Avery Heaney, and Michelle Prunier.

The Guilderland musicians are students of Kathleen Ehlinger and Rae Jean Teeter.

The Area All-State concert will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19, beginning at 2 p.m. in the Saratoga High School auditorium. This outstanding performance is open to the public. Tickets are available at the door and are $3 for students, and $8 for adults with a $3 discount for senior citizens.
