ALTAMONT — Carol Snyder/Felgentreff, a mother of six, was most proud of being a grandmother.

She died peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024, at the age of 92.

“She Lived most of her life in Altamont and raised her children there,” heer family wrote in a tribute. “Carol was always a hard worker and always lending a helping hand when there was work to be done.

“She spent many years as a caregiver and was an accomplished knitter and made many items for people over the years including baby layettes for the Christ Child Society. Carol loved to bake and share her treats with friends and family.

“Carol will be remembered for her strong will and her fiercely independent attitude, even after suffering a stroke which left her disabled. She lived independently for 18 years.

“She was most proud of her titles of Grandma, Gram, Mima, Magra, and GiGi.”
