Thanks for supporting the Kids Club Spooktacular

The Enterprise — Michael Koff

Fairies and tigers and pumpkins — oh, my! The Kids’ Club held a Spooktacular event on Oct. 30 with children racing a mile and grownups running five kilometers. The littlest, at far left, is Liddy Bresslin, 5; the tiger is Paige Kemmer, 9 — both from Voorheesville. The winners of the 5K were Kellen Chowenhill, 15, of Voorheesville with a time of 18:29, and Beth Ruiz, 43, of Delmar with a time of 20:52. The event raised funds for the not-for-profit Kids’ Club, which runs before- and after-school child-care programs at Voorheesville.

To the Editor:

The Kids Club wishes to express our appreciation to all participants, volunteers, and the generous sponsors who helped make our fundraising event a success.  The Kids Club Spooktacular held on Oct. 30 at Voorheesville’s high school included a 5K run, 2-mile walk, children’s 1-mile spooky sprint, and devilish dashes for the younger children.

The Kids Club is a not-for-profit organization that provides a unique before- and after-school experience for children in the Voorheesville School District in kindergarten through eighth grades. We strive to help our community by alleviating child-care and safety worries of working parents.

Kids Club provides children access to a variety of activities including clubs, athletics, culinary experiences, homework help, science exploration, fine arts, field trips, and much more.

Thank you again for your support of the Kids Club program.
