COOLIDGE AND DAWES ELECTED
In a great political landslide, which swept the entire northwestern and western parts of the country, Calvin Coolidge was elected President and Charles G. Dawes was elected Vice President on Tuesday.
The electoral vote for Coolidge and Dawes is 379, based on early returns.
Coolidge’s popular vote is of landslide proportions. Complete returns look to be stupendous. The president has carried every state in the North and East, except Wisconsin, and every state in the West except New Mexico, which John W. Davis won by a small plurality. North Dakota, which was considered a LaFollette possibility, is also in the Coolidge column.

If you see a beautiful parrot who swears loudly and fluently in Portuguese don’t mistake him for a pheasant, just mark his location and notify the postmaster at Fillmore, N. Y. Friends of a Fillmore lady have asked WGY to broadcast for the missing bird; they are afraid that hunters will shoot him.
