Celebrating a Community Thanksgiving

To the Editor:

The Voorheesville American Legion Post 1493 will be hosting its Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner on sunday, Nov. 24, from noon until 4 p.m.

Come join family, friends, and neighbors for a good time while sharing the traditions and joys of the Thanksgiving holiday. The menu will include turkey, ham sweet, and mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing, vegetables, dessert, and beverage.

No reservations are required. This is a free-will offering event to benefit local food pantries and the Hilltown Christmas but is is not required.

You can eat in or take-out. Also bring a dinner to someone you know that can’t get to enjoy a Thanksgiving feast out with others. Everyone is welcome.

If you are interested in helping out, a food donation or a monetary contribution, please contact Chaplin Charlie Renker at 518-765-4359 or send checks made payable to the American Legion Post 1493 at 31 Voorheesville Ave., Post Office Box 72, Voorheesville, N.Y. 12186.

Hope to see you there!
