I’m casting my vote for the independent thinker, Kellin Rowlands
To the Editor:
On Tuesday, Oct. 24, the League of Women Voters hosted a candidate forum for the Bethlehem Town Board contenders. Initially, I assumed that the questions would be generated by the League of Women Voters themselves. It came as a surprise to learn that the questions were submitted by the Bethlehem community, particularly the Bethlehem Democratic Committee.
Among the candidates, Kellin Rowlands stood out for his thoughtful consideration of the questions, responding candidly and openly. In contrast, Mr. [Thomas] Schnurr’s responses seemed rehearsed, lacking the genuine reflection that the questions deserved. It was evident that he was reciting the party line, even offering timely praise for the Democratic candidate running for highway superintendent.
While Mr. Schnurr is undoubtedly intelligent and committed to his political party, the time has come to look forward and elect an independent thinker who will prioritize you, the residents of Bethlehem, over any state or national political affiliation. You can watch the forum on the League of Women Voters website to form your own opinion.
For my part, I’m casting my vote for the independent thinker, Kellin Rowlands. Kellin is dedicated solely to you, the people of Bethlehem. Let’s initiate the much-needed change and prioritize people over party. You’ll find Kellin Rowlands at the bottom of the ballot, but he should be at the top of your list. Vote for Kellin. He will be your voice.
