It’s the person, not the party: Kathy Burbank does it all
To the Editor:
On Election Day, I will be voting outside my registered party line. Here are a few reasons why.
First, my wife, Kathy Burbank, is running for Guilderland Town Board. My wife is not a politician, but is an educated professional, mother of five (well, seven if you include our two dogs), and a wife!
Over the last several years, Kathy has proven to be a leader among our community all on her own. Kathy led the Chamber of Commerce and established a great working relationship with town businesses. Kathy is a member of the Guilderland Zoning Committee and is experienced in town matters and zoning.
Kathy led Community Caregivers and understands our seniors needs. Kathy has organized several community fundraisers to assist town residents with home and medical expenses. Kathy has a working relationship with the school district, library, and many other entities within our town. What’s amazing about my wife, is that she is able to do all of this while maintaining a home that is fun.
Second, in town politics, it’s all about the individuals we feel who will listen, who will be engaged in the community, and who have the ability to bring people together to get things done. The individuals we feel will invest in our seniors because they care. The individuals we feel will preserve the quality of life for our residents. Lastly, the individuals who we know will lead us and work hard for us because they love their community and have shown it through their actions.
It’s the person, not the party! Join me on Election Day by voting for Kathy Burbank!
