To the Editor:

The Berne Republican Committee endorses Bonnie Conklin and Mathew Harris in their efforts to become public servants for the people of Berne on the Berne Town Board. We ask you to do the same by voting for them in the 2019 elections Nov. 5.

Three to four years ago, the Berne Republican Committee began its journey to bring back the power of town government to the people of Berne by promoting and electing quality candidates. Your vote for Bonnie and Mat this Election Day will bring this quest full circle and will fill our town board up with regular folks set on public service not party advancement.

Bonnie and Mat’s commitment to Berne’s seniors, its youth, the highway department, the environment, renewable energy, and common-sense zoning and code enforcement is exactly what will bring the community back to Town Hall.

Bonnie and Mat will stabilize an unsettled board that has been bogged down in politics and not the people’s business; with Bonnie and Mat on the board, the town government will move forward in a positive direction for its community.

With Bonnie and Mat, the Berne Town Board will be driven by people and policy, not politics or political affiliation.
