GUILDERLAND — State Police arrested three Thruway travelers and seized a handgun during a traffic stop in Guilderland early Sunday morning.

Saadiq A. King, 25, of Atco, New Jersey; Kharie G. Orange-Blakney, 26, of Cherry Hill, New Jersey; and Paris J. Taylor, 21, of Camden, New Jersey were each charged with second-degree and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

King and Taylor were also charged with Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.

At about 1:59 a.m. on Oct. 26, Troopers stopped a car driven by Taylor, with King and Orange-Blakney as passengers, for a traffic violation, according to a State Police release.

A trained German shepherd named Ash helped troopers find an illegally possessed loaded handgun and an illegally possessed high-capacity magazine.

All three were arrested at the scene, arraigned in Guilderland Town Court and remanded to Albany County’s jail in lieu of $25,000 cash, $50,000 bond, or a $75,000 partially secured bond.
