The need has grown rapidly. Help make the holidays happy in the Hilltowns

To the Editor:

We are busy once again organizing our holiday programs. We will be opening our free clothes store to the entire community on Tuesday, Nov. 12, and will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Saturday Nov. 16. There will be lots of clothes for all ages and houseware, too.

Once again this year, we are teaming up with the Albany County Sheriff’s Office for our holiday program. The need for help has grown rapidly over the years and this collaboration will allow more families in need to get help.

If you need assistance with holiday toys for children aged 0 to15 years of age, call me, Mary Beth Peterson, at 518-322-7544 or email marybethp@ccalbany.org. Deadline for enrollment is Nov. 16.

We appreciate all the support we receive throughout the year. We could not run these programs without the generous support of our donors.

If you would like to make a donation, we are in need of unwrapped toys or perhaps your organization could host a toy drive. Monetary donations are always welcome; checks can be made to Hilltowns Community Resource Center, Post Office Box 147, Westerlo, NY 12193

Wishing everyone a happy and safe holiday season.
