Blacksmith history comes alive in Berne

To the Editor:

Please join us for an afternoon with Steve Khoury of Helderberg Blacksmith & Sons fame.

Steve has offered to share his expertise in demonstrating blacksmithing techniques dating from the late 1800s to early 1900s.

The scope of Steve’s talents include custom metal work, forging and fabrication, historic reproductions, tinsmithing, restorations, and metal sculptures.

This Berne Historical Society event on Oct. 20 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the 1656 Helderberg Trail, also known as the Berne Town Hall and Museum, also includes museum tours, baked goods, books, and door prizes.

See you Sunday on the history trail.
