To the Editor:

During this pandemic, I continue to be extremely impressed with how well businesses in our community have adapted new protocols in order to ensure the safety of their patrons.

One business that I’d like to highlight is the Guilderland YMCA. I have to admit that I was a bit reluctant to return when they reopened their doors a few months ago. However, the moment I entered the building, all of my trepidation disappeared.

I was greeted by their friendly, welcoming staff who took the time to answer my questions and explain all of their new procedures. I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to be swimming once again because, after being in the pool, I feel  my energy level soar and my arthritic knees feel so good that I practically run out of the building!

So, if you’re a member of the Y, I encourage you to return and, if you aren’t yet a member, I hope you’ll sign up. You won’t regret it!
